1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between Gatelion ("we", "us") and the organization that signs up for Gatelion ("you"). Whoever signs up confirms that they may agree to these terms for their organization. The terms also apply to everyone your organization lets use Gatelion: its administrators, approvers and auditors.
2. The service
Gatelion lets you decide what AI agents may do in your systems. It consists of:
- a console where you configure it;
- a Control Plane that holds your configuration, approvals and audit trail;
- Gateways that enforce your policy, either hosted by us or installed by you in your network.
How it works is described in the documentation.
3. A free service that's still changing
- Gatelion is currently free. You don't need a payment card.
- Features and limits may change. Each organization has usage limits, shown on the console's Usage page, and we may adjust them.
- While Gatelion is free, we don't promise any level of availability. The service may have errors, be interrupted, or change without notice when that's needed to fix or secure it.
- If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell your administrators by email at least 30 days before anything is charged. Nothing is charged unless you choose a paid plan.
4. Your account
- Keep sign-in details, agent tokens and recovery codes secret, and use a second factor where Gatelion asks for one.
- You decide who in your organization has access and with which role. You're responsible for what happens under your organization's accounts, agents and tokens.
- Tell us at once at contact@gatelion.si if you think an account or token has been misused. You can also revoke tokens and remove people's access yourself in the console.
5. Your responsibilities
Gatelion enforces the rules you set. You are responsible for:
- the policies, tools, approvals and agents you configure, and the actions your approvers approve;
- having the right to connect each system and to let agents act in it, and for the credentials you give your Gateways;
- the AI agents and clients you connect, and what they ask to do;
- any Gateway you install: the machine, its network, its certificate, and keeping it updated;
- complying with the laws that apply to your use, including towards the people whose data passes through your systems, and towards your customers if you use customer access.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Gatelion to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- reach systems you aren't allowed to reach, or use the hosted Gateway as a general relay to other websites;
- probe, overload or get around Gatelion's security, its limits, or the separation between organizations, except under the vulnerability reporting described on our Security page;
- resell Gatelion or provide it to others as a service without our written agreement.
We may suspend an organization that breaks these terms, or that puts the service or other customers at risk, and we'll tell its administrators why. While it's suspended, its people can't sign in and its Gateways stop calling systems. Where the risk allows, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
7. Your data
- Your data stays yours. We use it only to provide and secure Gatelion, as our Privacy Policy describes.
- We don't sell it, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't use it to train AI models.
- The audit trail can't be edited after the fact. That's what makes it trustworthy, so we can't remove single events from it on request.
- Export. An administrator can ask us at contact@gatelion.si for a copy of the organization's configuration and audit trail. We provide it in a machine-readable format (JSON) within 30 days.
- Deletion. When an organization closes, we delete its data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep.
8. Our software and feedback
We own Gatelion, including the Gateway software. You may install and run the Gateway for your organization's own use of Gatelion while these terms apply. Don't copy, modify or reverse-engineer it except as the law allows. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without any obligation to you.
9. Ending
- You can stop using Gatelion at any time. To close your organization, an administrator writes to contact@gatelion.si from their account's address, and we close it and delete its data as described above.
- We may end the free service, or your access to it, with at least 30 days' notice by email to your administrators, or at once if that's needed to protect the service, other customers or the law. You can export your data during the notice period.
10. No warranty, and limits on liability
While Gatelion is free, it's provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent Egyptian law allows. In particular, we don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will stop every action you didn't intend. It enforces the rules you configure.
To the extent Egyptian law allows:
- we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data, or the actions your agents take within the rules you set;
- our total liability for all claims relating to Gatelion is limited to the higher of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and EGP 1,000.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or gross negligence, or any other liability that can't be limited under Egyptian law.
11. Changes to these terms
We publish each version here, with its date. New organizations agree to the version current when they sign up. For a material change, we email your administrators at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you continue to use Gatelion after that, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, you can close your organization before the change takes effect.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. We'll first try to settle any dispute with you amicably. If we can't, the courts of Cairo, Egypt, have jurisdiction.
